The speed of the combustion process in petrol engines is influenced by many factors: the composition of the fuel, the amount and humidity of the air, and the pressure and temperature inside the combustion chamber. When combustion proceeds normally, part of the fuel ignites and the flame front gradually expands. The combustion speed spreads uniformly, the pressure also rises evenly, and the engine runs smoothly. The fractional composition of the gasoline has a great influence on the combustion process.
