The Current State of Breeding and Use of the Common Green Lacewing (Chrysopa carnea)
Keywords:
Chrysopa carnea, IPM, rearing, biological method, entomophage, larva, imago, predator, eggsAbstract
The common green lacewing, Chrysopa carnea, is one of the most effective and economically significant entomophages for the biological protection of vegetable, melon and fruit crops. The article provides an extended analysis of the biology of the species, its ecological plasticity, feeding characteristics, methods of mass laboratory rearing, storage conditions and technologies for release into agrocenoses. It presents modern research on the use of lacewings within integrated pest management (IPM), the assessment of their effectiveness in greenhouse hydroponic systems, and a comparative analysis with other entomophages (Phytoseiulus persimilis, Encarsia formosa, Orius laevigatus and others). The material was prepared using the national standards of Uzbekistan, FAO and IOBC data, and international publications of recent years.
