Annotatsiya
This article analyzes the phenomenon of representative power from philosophical and social perspectives. The study reveals the essence of representative power, its role in the system of democratic governance, and its interaction with society. It also examines the foundations of legitimacy of this institution, the theories of delegation and mandate, as well as aspects related to political participation. Through a comparative analysis, the forms of representative power in different countries are explored, and the processes of transformation of this system in Uzbekistan are analyzed. The results of the study show that the effectiveness of representative power is closely linked to the development of civil society, the level of political culture, and institutional reforms
