Annotatsiya

This article examines the significant impact of Alisher Navoiy’s Khamsa (Quintet) on global literature and its place in the Eastern Renaissance. Khamsa by Navoiy, which was written in the late 15th century, marks a watershed moment in history that shattered the Persian literary monopoly and elevated the Turkic language to the level of a high literary and philosophical medium. This study demonstrates how the masterpiece incorporates core Renaissance ideals like profound humanism, scientific intellect, and progressive models of social justice by analyzing the five epic poems through a qualitative and comparative literary lens. According to the data, Navoiy did not just replicate the conventional Islamic poetic traditions of Nizami or Khusrau; instead, he structurally and philosophically re-engineered them to symbolize the sociocultural pinnacle of the Temurid Renaissance. This article ultimately contends that Navoiy’s Khamsa merits a lasting, acknowledged spot in international literary history, alongside the canonical works of the Western Renaissance.
