The article presents a methodology for the comprehensive study of menstrual function and reproductive health in adolescent girls with various forms of intellectual disability. It argues that this group is among the most vulnerable, because altered neuroendocrine regulation, congenital pathology and frequent use of psychotropic drugs raise the risk of gynaecological disease, while communication difficulties delay diagnosis. The study links clinical and functional gynaecological indicators with mental status and the level of social autonomy, and notes a lack of knowledge among parents and guardians about hygiene and sexual development, which can be addressed with simplified questionnaires and adequate information.Downloads
