Abstract

This article provides a comparative analysis of the linguistic and semantic features of collocations in German and Uzbek. In linguistics, collocations are regarded as one of the important units that ensure the naturalness of speech, accuracy of meaning and communicative effectiveness. The article illustrates with examples the structure, semantic features and scope of use of collocational units in German and Uzbek, as well as their specific aspects in the translation process. The results of the study show that collocations in both languages are connected with national and cultural characteristics.
