Mikhail Bulgakov's novel The Master and Margarita is a complex system of artistic space in which several worlds intertwine: real Moscow of the 1930s, biblical Yershalaim, and the mystical space associated with Woland and his retinue. This multilayered construction creates a special chronotope in which the boundaries between reality and fantasy are erased. Moscow space is depicted satirically and reflects the social and moral problems of society, while Yershalaim embodies the philosophical and eternal themes of truth, good and evil. The mystical space serves as a link between these worlds, revealing the idea of higher justice. Thus, the artistic space of the novel plays a key role in revealing the author's intention and emphasises its ambiguity and depth.
