Abstract

This article examines the role of colour and lighting in interior design as key artistic and functional means of shaping space. It analyses their influence on the perception of form, volume and the emotional state of an interior, and explains basic concepts such as harmony, monochromatic and achromatic schemes, polychromy and artificial lighting.
