Dynamics of Stuttering Manifestations Depending on the Level of Language Development of a Preschool Child

Abstract

This article is devoted to studying the influence of the level of language development on the manifestations of stuttering in preschool children. The author examines the relationship between the formation of speech functions and the dynamics of stuttering symptoms. The results of the study showed that children with a highly developed language potential experience more difficulty when reproducing complex speech material, demonstrating a higher frequency and severity of spasms. Conversely, children with an insufficient level of language development show fewer disorders in the process of speaking because of the simplification of sentence structure.
