Аннотация

The article discusses the role of the Russian language in the modern world. It considers its place in international communication, education, science and culture, its status as an official language of the Russian Federation and of many international organisations, and the importance of literary heritage for understanding the history and spiritual values of peoples. It also notes that Russian-language sources give students access to additional scientific and educational information.
